We are huge infographic fans at Howell Edwards, in fact, it’s one of our specialties. Illustrated infographics are a perfect way to add visual elements to an editorial article or a marketing campaign – they are the champions when it comes to online sharing. They don’t only help boost search engine rankings of websites, but they also enhance your brand awareness. Ultimately, we are visual creatures: 90% of the information transmitted to our brain is visual, and that is processed 60,000x faster in the brain than text is. A few years ago we were inspired by another late night Netflix marathon to design an infographic portraying where all the greatest New York based TV shows were set. We designed the piece with a very un-Howell Edwards minimal style, sticking to type only and embracing the “Less is More” mantra. Using a monochrome colour scheme, and a variety of font sizes, we’ve created a simple but effective result.

Less is more in this brilliant design, which takes well-known TV shows based in New York and places them in their correct geographical location. It’s a unique way to portray the information that is aided by a simple, monochrome colour scheme and a variety of font sizes.

Howell’s certainly got a talent for infographics – he’s already offered up a few more including a Tube map based on Beatles song as well as one depicting the relationships between the characters of TV show Mad Men. Call us pop culture-obsessed, but we’re big fans of all of them!
