We love illustrating books, especially when they’re colourful, meaningful children’s books that allow us to work in our favourite styles. We’ve worked with Dr Tamara Pizzoli and The English Schoolhouse publishing house for several years now, contributing our illustration for children’s books on so many collaborations that we’ve almost lost count. We are big believers in Tamara’s mission to diversify children’s literature and provide representation for young people, and we love being able to contribute our illustration for children’s books to her cause and bring life to her words.
M is for Marrakech: An Alphabet Book of Cities Around the World, is an alphabet book designed to teach children capital cities of the world. This was a great project to work on with Tamara, as we got to illustrate so many beautiful sights and sites from across the globe. Travel posters and the style that they’re made and designed in is something that has always appealed to both of us, so designing twenty six was a dream! We’re always interested in illustrating buildings and landscapes; whilst portrait illustration is perhaps what we’re best known for, we do love bringing beautiful landscapes and buildings to life in our illustrated style.
We loved working on this book with Tamara, and we can’t wait to work on more projects with her. If you’re looking for illustration for your children’s book, we would love to hear from you.
